This page describes Calíope 1.5, the version we are building right now. 1.4 is finished and in App Review, and the store serves 1.3 on the Mac and 1.2 on iPad. The changelog says which version each feature landed in.

One payment, all your devices, every update. What is included and how it unlocks.
Calíope is bought once through the App Store and tied to your Apple ID: the same purchase unlocks it on the Mac, the iPad, the iPhone, the Apple Watch, the Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, and includes every future update. There is no subscription, no renewal and no later charge.

Sixty days free before you decide
When you open Calíope for the first time you can start a 60-day trial with everything unlocked. It asks for no card and never charges on its own: when it ends, Calíope returns to the purchase screen and your connections and settings stay on the device. The topic “The 60-day trial” explains it fully.
How to buy
On the purchase screen tap Buy and confirm in Apple's sheet. The price is shown in your currency and may vary by country. If you already bought Calíope on another device or reinstalled the app, tap Restore Purchase.
Your data is yours
Connections, snippets and preferences live on your device (and in your iCloud if you turn it on), not on a Calíope server.
Recover your purchase after reinstalling the app or on a new device.
If you already bought Calíope on another device, or you reinstalled the app, you do not need to pay again: Apple keeps your purchase tied to your Apple ID.
How to restore
On the purchase screen tap Restore Purchase. Calíope asks the App Store for purchase receipts associated with your current Apple ID and unlocks the app if it finds your purchase.
Requirements
- Be signed in with the same Apple ID you used to make the original purchase.
- On macOS: System Settings → Media & Purchases. On iPad: Settings → App Store.
- Have an internet connection so the status can be queried against Apple's servers.
If it does not restore
Check the Apple ID shown under Media & Purchases (macOS) or App Store (iPad). If it differs from the one used to pay, sign out and back in with the right account. If it still fails, reach out from the About → Support section.
Seeing "We couldn't verify your purchase"?
This is the state Calíope shows when it launches without an internet connection and cannot reach Apple's servers. Tap Retry once your network is back, or use Restore Purchase — this flow works with locally stored receipts and does not need a recent connection. If the problem persists on a stable network, check the App Store status at apple.com/support/systemstatus.

How it starts, what happens when it ends, and why there is nothing to cancel.
How it starts. On the purchase screen tap Start 60 days free and confirm in Apple's sheet: it is a zero-price product, so nothing is charged and no card is asked for. From that moment Calíope is fully unlocked for 60 days, on every device signed in with the same Apple ID.
When it ends. Calíope returns to the purchase screen, now without the trial button. Your connections, snippets and preferences stay on the device: nothing is deleted. To keep using it, buy it once.
There is nothing to cancel. The trial never turns into a charge: if you don't buy, it simply ends. It can be started only once per Apple ID; reinstalling the app or restoring purchases does not restart it.
Refunds. The purchase is a one-time App Store purchase: refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What to do if the purchase ends up pending, especially with Family Sharing.
If your Apple ID is part of a Family Sharing group with Ask to Buy enabled, the initial purchase requires approval from the group organizer. Meanwhile, Calíope shows the "Purchase Pending" alert and the paywall stays visible.
What happens between the request and the approval
- The transaction stays in pending state on Apple's servers.
- Calíope will pick it up automatically once approved, without needing an app relaunch.
- Nothing is charged until the organizer approves the request.
If the organizer denies the request
The transaction is cancelled and the app returns to the regular paywall. You can try again whenever you want.
Other pending states
The same signal appears when there are temporary issues with the payment method. Apple shows a message under Settings → your name → Payment & Shipping indicating what to resolve.
